The RenderStreet for Artists program is our way of facilitating artists’ contribution to the community development, while receiving something in return. We believe that learning by example is one of the most powerful ways of expanding one’s knowledge. At the same time, we are aware of the challenges every indie film production faces, one of the most difficult ones being funding. Our answer to both these problems is the RenderStreet for Artists program.
It’s our way of supporting the free software movement and saying thanks to the Blender community.
The program offers free rendering as sponsorship for projects that will make their assets publicly available after the official release. The projects accepted in the program benefit from the entirety of RenderStreet services, helping with the total movie budget and shortening the time to launch and to the first screening. In return, the artist community will benefit from freely studying the movie assets or reusing them in their own projects.
The last edition of the program closed in May 2016. You can see below some of the movies that were part of RenderStreet for Artists, with links to their assets where available.
